The comment on the eyes makes me feel that my lighting trick worked well. This was not shot in the studio, just in a room with nice bright sun pouring in through a south patio window. The window was huge, and I positioned myself in the middle of it, so that Fawn had to look directly at the big bright window. The huge, centered catch-lights in her eyes were the result of this cool little trick. If you blow-up the high res shot I can be seen in the center of each of her eyes :D
wow, i love her shirt!!! it loks so cool :) wish i had one!^.^

seriously, don't.
She was basically waring a doily like the old fashioned kind you put a vase on, only I think it was meant to be worn :) It sure looked good on her in any case.
lolz, it sure did^^

Yes, sometimes during a studio shoot with the model surrounded by strobes, I'll just say "lets take a break from all this and go look for some nice natural window light." There is nothing better in photography, than rejecting the whole premise of whatever you are doing and trying to find an entirely fresh approach right on the spot. But so often one then one thinks only of posing the model in the direct sun from the window. I chose to have she just out of the sun's direct reach, so it all shows in her eyes and illuminates her softly. It's just one technique, but in this shot it really did the trick. We did go back to the studio afterward too.
